The qualified candidate must have an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and will design, develop, and deliver modern, cloud-native software solutions that enable national security missions. The ideal candidate has an excellent understanding of the full software development lifecycle and exceptional coding skills across front-end interfaces, backend services, and secure cloud integrations in support of the mission.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nThis position spans the full software development lifecycle, building and delivering innovative capabilities that support GEOINT data access, visualization, and dissemination. Duties include designing, developing, testing, and deploying software solutions; building and maintaining secure, containerized microservices and RESTful APIs with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, React, Node.js, and Spring Boot; participating in Agile sprints, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives; supporting DevSecOps pipelines while meeting security and accreditation standards; collaborating with mission users and product managers to refine requirements; performing code reviews and mentoring fellow developers; and resolving prioritized tasks alongside internal teams at North Point Technology.\n\nRequired Skills/Experience:\n\nProficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript\nWeb development with HTML, CSS, JSON, AJAX, and REST APIs\nModern front-end and back-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, Spring Boot, Django, or Flask)\nCloud development on AWS or Azure\nRelational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server)\nLinux and Windows operating systems\nVersion control with Git\nCI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or Jenkins)\nAgile collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence)\nContainerization with Docker and Kubernetes\nSecure coding practices and government accreditation processes (RMF, STIGs)\n\nPreferred Skills/Experience:\n\nGo programming\nFront-end UI/UX design\nNoSQL databases (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch)\nSpecific AWS services (S3, EC2, SQS, SNS, RDS, CloudFormation)\nMulti-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM, or Oracle)\nInfrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible)\nGeospatial tools and standards (GeoServer, PostGIS, OGC APIs, ESRI ArcGIS)\nFamiliarity with modern software design patterns and secure coding standards\nExperience delivering complex software systems into production\nExperience supporting a customer contract or the Intelligence Community\nCertifications such as AWS Certified Developer, Security+, or SAFe Practitioner\n\nQualifications:\n\nActive TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field\n\nNorth Point Technology is THE BEST place to work for curious-minded engineers motivated to support our country's most crucial missions!
