Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in the preparation of ingredients for our restaurant, catering services, and special events. Your expertise in food preparation, kitchen management, and culinary skills will enable you to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our restaurant. Duties - Prepare ingredients for meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables, meats, and other food items. - Assist the culinary team in menu planning, ensuring that ingredients are available and that dishes are prepared according to our culinary standards. - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and handling regulations. - Help with food preparation and presentation for both restaurant and catering services. - Support the kitchen team during peak hours and special events, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to our high standards. - Collaborate with other kitchen staff members to ensure that all menu items are prepared in a timely and efficient manner. - Assist in inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies. - Demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation and presentation. Requirements - Proven experience in food preparation, kitchen management, and culinary skills. - Familiarity with dietary aide principles and menu planning. - Strong knowledge of food handling and preparation practices. - Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and prioritize tasks accordingly. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot kitchen environment. - A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. - Experience in a restaurant setting, with a focus on kitchen operations and food preparation. - Knowledge of food preparation and presentation techniques. - Ability to learn and adapt to new recipes and menu items.
