Low Voltage Technician

Crain AutomotiveLittle Rock, AR 72223Crain Automotive is seeking an experienced and dependable Low Voltage Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage systems across multiple dealership locations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with structured cabling, access control, surveillance systems, networking hardware, and related technologies. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Skills:Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and fiber optic cablingInstall and support surveillance camera systems, access control systems, intercoms, and related low voltage equipmentMount and install network racks, patch panels, switches, wireless access points, and related hardwarePerform cable routing through ceilings, walls, conduits, and other pathways while maintaining clean and professional installationsTroubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues involving network and low voltage systemsRead and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and floor plansAssist with network equipment deployments and basic network troubleshootingMaintain accurate documentation of installations, service work, and inventoryEnsure compliance with safety standards and company proceduresTravel to dealership locations throughout Arkansas as neededPerform other duties as assigned by supervisorQualifications:Minimum 2 years of low voltage installation or field technician experience requiredExperience with structured cabling, CCTV systems, access control, and network hardwareFamiliarity with Ubiquiti, Cisco, Verkada, Avigilon, or similar systems is a plusBasic understanding of networking concepts including switches, VLANs, IP addressing, and wireless systems preferredAbility to use cable testers, toner tools, punch-down tools, and other installation equipmentAbility to safely use ladders, lifts, and power toolsStrong troubleshooting and organizational skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesMust be self-motivated and able to work independentlyValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record requiredBenefits:Competitive payAffordable health, dental and vision insurance401(k) with company matchOpportunities for advancement and professional developmentThe Crain Automotive Team is Arkansas' largest family owned and operated dealer group.
