Reporting directly to the Creative Director, you'll serve as lead designer across all five Farmer Group brands ensuring every touchpoint is designed with the highest level of detail within the respective brand’s guidelines.This is a highly collaborative role that sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You'll work closely with the Creative Director and Brand Team to bring visual concepts to life across a wide range of mediums, while also managing and mentoring one full time direct report and occasional freelance designer when needed. You'll be empowered to take ownership of your work, push creative boundaries, and help shape the visual future of our brands.This is a remote role with the opportunity to work hybrid out of our offices in Cortland, NY or Brooklyn, NY. To apply, be sure to see How to Apply below for applicant submission requirements.What You'll DoDesign & Brand LeadershipServe as lead designer across Florist Farms, Blotter, Head & Heal, Tune, and Hudson — ensuring all creative output is consistent, on-brand, and of the highest qualityAct as the first checkpoint in the creative review process, upholding brand guidelines across all five brand identitiesCollaborate closely with the Creative Director to develop compelling visual solutions that support each brand's unique strategy and voiceWork across the Brand, Sales, Marketing, and Production teams to align on deliverables and maintain organized workflowsBrand Collateral & Multi-Channel DesignOwn the design and production of a wide range of brand assets, including but not limited to:Packaging designPoint of sale assets and in-store displaysBooth and experiential designsDigital advertising and social media contentWeb designSales support materialsSwag and merchandiseBrand Refreshes & Roll OutsPlay a pivotal role in rebrands and refreshes within our portfolio, partnering with the Creative Director to assist with conducting design explorations, defining visual directions, and building brand guidelines Photography & ProductionAssist with in-house photography, including prop styling, art direction support, and set coordinationAct as on-set director for hired photo and video productions, when needed, ensuring all captured content aligns with brand visionTeam ManagementManage, mentor, and support the growth and development of junior team member(s)Review work and provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to direct report(s)What We're Looking ForRequired5+ years of professional graphic design experience, with a strong and varied portfolioExperience managing or mentoring designersExpert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and related tools)Proficient in Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google (Docs, Slides, Sheets) platformsExperience in package design and working with dielinesStrong print production knowledgeExperience in digital design (ads, emails, website support)Comfortable assisting on-set of photo and video productionsVideo editing capabilitiesExceptional attention to detail and a sharp eye for brand consistencyStrong communication skills — you can clearly articulate creative decisions and collaborate across teamsProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentExcellent time management and organizational skills; comfortable owning deadlinesA self-starter mentality balanced with a collaborative, team-first attitudePreferredExperience working within the cannabis industryFamiliarity with packaging compliance requirementsExperience with managing print and production vendor relationsProficient in Adobe After Effects Experience with ShopifyFamiliarity with project management platforms (Asana, Trello, Miro)Our ValuesWe believe in innovation, sustainability, integrity, and making a positive impact.
