Performs basic assembly duties for the assembly of hose couplings and accessories.\n\nEducation and Work Experience Requirement:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required. This is a basic entry level position requiring no prior experience.\n\nEquipment and Applications:\nHand tools, Impact tools, Arbor press, Etc.\n\nSpecialized Knowledge, Skills, and Responsibilities:\n1) Work Ethic\nReports to work as scheduled. Does not display a pattern of unexcused absences and / or working incomplete shifts, properly reports back to work from meal and/or break periods.\nWorks as a team player with other team members. Presents a positive attitude, and does not disparage assigned tasks, team members, company, or management.\nWillingness to work overtime as required to satisfy demand and requirements\nMakes good use of time to ensure productivity outputs are met. Does not wander or take excessive restroom breaks. Always stays productive.\n2) Safety\nWorks in a safe manor following safety guidelines.\nUses PPE as required.\nBrings safety concerns to management attention.\n\n3) Direction / Focus\nStays engaged with assigned tasks, does not deviate for non-essential reasons.\nSeeks out additional work upon completion of assigned tasks. Takes initiative on tasks without being told.\n\n4) Computer System\nCan take day to day production outputs and accurately update EPICOR system.\nMaintains paperwork used for control of production, inventory movement, quantity counts.\n\n5) Blueprint / Quality Control\nIs gaining knowledge to understand blueprints and quality documents.\n\n6) Skill Development\nShows the desire to learn new skills of the trade and advance beyond current position.\n7) Operations\nReceives process travelers, verifies that the components are correct, and closes them out\nAssembles couplings, clamps, and other products\nMaintains inventory control during the assembly process\nKeeps excess inventory put away, maintains a clean work environment, assists with packaging materials for shipment\n\nWork Environment and Physical Demands:\nAn ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role will require a willingness to work overtime hours including weekends as needed. This position may require heavy lifting, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. The ability to lift 50 pounds is required.
