Senior Financial Accountant
Description:
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your responsibilities will span various financial functions, and you’ll collaborate closely with other team members.
RESONSIBILITIES
Financial Statement Activities:
Handle journal entries, account reconciliations, and cost center analysis.
Verify financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
Treasury and Tax Functions:
Create cash forecasting models.
Analyze goods receipts and resolve invoice discrepancies.
Reconcile bank accounts and manage derivatives.
Prepare state tax filings and coordinate with third-party tax providers.
Fixed Assets, Leases, and Insurance:
Record fixed asset transactions and maintain schedules.
Handle lease analysis and accounting.
Verify insurance schedules.
Payroll and Commissions:
Upload payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll data.
Calculate paid leave accrual and manage commission payments.
Auditor Requests and Reporting:
Assist with annual auditor requests.
Prepare external financial statements and ensure compliance with lender reporting.
Budgeting and Analysis:
Participate in the annual budget process.
Analyze budget-to-actual performance.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting is required.
Experience: You should have at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Preferred Certifications: A CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
Skills:

Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary.
