In this role, you will own the full lifecycle of our global TMS platform-from roadmap and architecture through vendor selection, implementation, integration, deployment, and long-term optimization. You will work across Logistics, IT, Procurement, Finance, Trade Compliance, and regional operations teams to deliver scalable, automated, and data-driven transportation capabilities that enhance AMD's global supply chain performance. This position operates with high autonomy and is a key driver in modernizing AMD's logistics technology ecosystem, with a strong focus on automation and AI-enabled capabilities.\r\nTHE PERSON\r\nYou are a technically strong program leader who excels at the intersection of logistics operations, enterprise systems, and data. You bring clarity to ambiguity, communicate effectively at all levels, and drive alignment across diverse global stakeholders. You operate independently, make sound architecture-level decisions, and prioritize scalable, standardized solutions that deliver measurable business value.\r\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\r\n\r\nLead AMD's global TMS strategy, architecture, and multi-year roadmap.\r\nDrive the full TMS vendor selection process, including requirements, RFP execution, evaluation, and final recommendation.\r\nServe as the program lead for global TMS implementation, integration, and deployment across regions and transportation modes.\r\nPartner with IT and technology vendors on system design, integrations (ERP, WMS, data platforms), security, and data architecture.\r\nTranslate logistics and business requirements into functional and technical system specifications.\r\nStandardize and optimize transportation processes enabled by TMS capabilities while supporting essential regional differences.\r\nIdentify, design, and scale automation and AI-enabled use cases (e.g., predictive ETAs, exception management, performance insights, cost optimization).\r\nEstablish governance models, KPIs, and operating rhythms that measure system adoption, performance, and business outcomes.\r\nLead change management, including stakeholder alignment, training strategy, documentation, and global user adoption.\r\nManage post-deployment lifecycle activities such as enhancements, releases, vendor performance, and continuous improvement.\r\nEnsure TMS processes and data support trade compliance, audit readiness, and internal control requirements.\r\n\r\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE\r\n\r\nExperience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or enterprise systems in global, high-tech, or manufacturing environments.\r\nProven success leading enterprise-scale system implementations (TMS strongly preferred), including vendor evaluation and global rollout.\r\nStrong technical program management capabilities with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.\r\nSolid understanding of transportation operations, carrier management, freight settlement, and logistics data flows.\r\nExperience with system integrations and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL-based datasets).\r\nExposure to automation, optimization, or AI/ML use cases in supply chain or logistics.\r\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without authority.\r\n\r\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS\r\n\r\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.\r\nAdvanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, APICS, Six Sigma) are a plus.\r\n\r\nLOCATION\r\n\r\nAustin, TX (Hybrid)\r\n\r\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\r\nLI-LC2\r\nLI-Hybrid\r\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\r\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
