This hands-on, supervisory role manages maintenance personnel, directs preventive maintenance programs, enforces safety protocols, and coordinates with external contractors to minimize equipment downtime and ensure smooth facility operations.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance personnel, assigning daily tasks and emergency repair work.Preventive Maintenance (PM): Develop, execute, and document PM programs for industrial machinery, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems.Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment failures, stepping in to perform repairs when necessary.Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work meets OSHA regulations, building codes, and company quality standards. Enforce the use of PPE and proper lockout/tagout procedures.Inventory & Vendor Management: Oversee spare parts inventory, order operating supplies, and assist in managing external contractors for specialized or large-scale repairs.Reporting: Maintain accurate maintenance logs, track repair costs, and monitor facility.QualificationsEducation & Experience: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or vocational certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or HVAC is preferred. Typically requires 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in industrial troubleshooting (PLCs, relay logic, motors, conveyors, hydraulics) and facility systems (boilers, chillers, building automation).Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, team motivation, and communication skills.
