Apply via Dice today!Network Security -Software Design Engineer 2Summary:The main function of this role is to conduct client coexistence testing and validation between Client s Global Secure Access (GSA) solution and 3rd party (3P) Security Service Edge (SSE) ISV solutions in the market including Palo Alto Networks, Netskope, Zscaler, Cisco, Fortinet, Forcepoint, Checkpoint, Skyhigh, iBoss, and Cloudflare. In addition, you may also help design, develop and test migration tooling for any SSE scenarios.Job Responsibilities:Set up and configure test environments with Client s GSA service (Entra Private and Internet Access) and each 3rd party SSE solution for side-by-side scenarios. You will be responsible for procuring test licenses for these validations.Document step by step configuration required in each solution for coexistence scenariosCreate a coexistence testing scenario matrix for each 3P ISV with guidance from Client, run test scenarios and validate functionalityDocument test results with detailed findings, and report issues promptly to ClientRe-run tests with new client and 3P ISVs client versionsReview coexistence solution guides for accuracy and readability and recommend improvementsIdentify opportunities for test automation and create automation solutionsGather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and dataAnalyze and review enhancement requests and specificationsImplement system software and customize to client requirementsPrepare the detailed software specifications and test plansCode new programs to client s specifications and create test data for testingModify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programsCreate migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementationProvide quality assurance reviewsPerform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testingQualifications:Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required4-6 years experience requiredA solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software designlarge systems software design and development experienceExperience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systemsexperience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolutionExperience or strong knowledge in computer networking is preferredKnowledge and experience with SSE products in strongly preferredTerraform or experience with Infrastructure as a code (IaC) tools is strongly preferredTop 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of ExperienceMinimum _5___ years experience with __Network Security_______.Minimum __5__ years experience with __Software Coding _______.Minimum __2__ years experience with _ Infrastructure as code (IaC)__.Network Security Design Engineer 2 || Must have Coding Experience || Remote
