Corporate Chef - Employee Dining (Entry Level) (Winston-Salem)
Are you the kind of person who plans their next meal while eating the current one? Do you geek out over new ingredients, global flavors, and feeding people you actually know by name? Keep reading... At Foster, we connect people and food from the first mile to the last—and that includes our own team. Everyone who works at Foster eats for free while at work, and we’re looking for an entry‑level Corporate Chef to run that entire experience for our Winston-Salem crew. This is a one‑person show in the best way: your menus, your flavors, your kitchen. What you’ll be doing Designing rotating, seasonal menus that keep coworkers saying “What’s for lunch tomorrow?” Cooking fresh, flavorful meals for our team (and the occasional special event). Running a small kitchen like a pro: prep, service, cleanup, food safety—the whole thing. Ordering ingredients, managing inventory, and being smart about waste. Snapping pics of your creations and sharing them on our internal channels so everyone sees what’s cooking. You’ll love this job if you… Are recently out of culinary school or early in your cooking career and want REAL creative freedom. Get excited about everything from comfort food to global street food—and love introducing people to new things. Like the idea of consistent hours and cooking for people who become your regulars on day one. Are organized enough to run a one‑person operation and laid‑back enough to laugh with the folks you feed. Prefer crafting something special over cranking out the same chain‑restaurant dishes on repeat. What we’re looking for Culinary school training or 1–2 years of hands‑on cooking experience (restaurant, catering, or similar). Solid grasp of basic food safety (and willingness to keep certifications current). A curious, creative, “let’s try it” attitude. Someone who genuinely loves people as much as they love food.
