This role is ideal for candidates who have demonstrated consistent career progression, deep technical curiosity, and a passion for building and supporting modern IT environments.\nAs a Systems Engineer at VTG, you will manage infrastructure solutions across a wide range of client environments. You’ll work with Windows Server, virtualization platforms, networking technologies, and cloud-integrated systems while helping clients modernize and secure their IT operations. Candidates who maintain home lab environments, experiment with new technologies, and continuously push their technical boundaries will excel in this position.\nMinimum Qualifications\n3–5+ years of hands-on IT experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or MSP support roles.\nDemonstrated career progression or long-term growth within a single organization\nExperience deploying, configuring, and managing Windows Server environments.\nExperience with Group Policy (GPO) creation, management, and troubleshooting.\nSolid understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies.\nFamiliarity with Linux administration.\nAbility to document environments, follow change management processes, and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in fast-paced MSP environments.\nHypervisor deployment and management.\nPreferred Qualifications\nIndustry certifications such as:\nCCNA\nCompTIA Network+\nLPIC\nWindows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ‑800)\nMCSE (legacy but valued)\nExperience with VoIP systems (SIP, hosted PBX, QoS Troubleshooting)\nExposure to automation or scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)\nHands-on experience with cloud or hybrid environments (Azure AD, M365, identity management)\nFamiliarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Datto, etc.)\nDemonstrated use of home lab environments for learning, testing, or deploying:\nWindows Server\nVirtualization stacks\nNetworking labs\nAutomation workflows\nMSP experience supporting multiple clients and diverse environments\nStrong customer service mindset and the ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly language\nEEO Statement:\nVTG is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
