Country Club Engineering Supervisor

About the Job We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead and support the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations of our country club. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who combines technical expertise with strong leadership ability. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all club facilities, systems, and equipment are properly maintained and operating efficiently while upholding high standards of safety, functionality, and member satisfaction. This position will supervise a small maintenance team while actively participating in repairs and preventative maintenance. What You Do: Leadership & OperationsSupervise and support a team of maintenance staff, assigning and overseeing daily tasksAssist in scheduling staff and supporting payroll or administrative duties as neededProvide guidance, training, and leadership to ensure high performance and accountabilityAct as the point of contact in the absence of senior leadership and support overall facility operations Maintenance & Technical WorkPerform and oversee general maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, carpentry, and minor masonryEnsure timely completion of maintenance requests and preventative maintenance programsMonitor building systems to maintain efficiency and identify potential issues earlyMaintain tools, equipment, and a safe, clean work environment Safety & Emergency ResponseIdentify and resolve safety concerns promptly to ensure a safe environment for members and staffRespond to maintenance emergencies, including after-hours calls when requiredProvide calm, effective problem-solving during urgent situations Inventory & CoordinationAssist with ordering, tracking, and managing maintenance supplies and equipmentMaintain inventory levels and support budget-conscious purchasing practicesCoordinate with vendors, contractors, and other departments as needed Guest & Team SupportRespond to member and staff maintenance concerns with professionalism and urgencyCollaborate with all club departments to ensure a seamless and positive experience for membersAdapt to changing priorities and operational needs with flexibilityPerform other duties as assigned What You Bring to the Table:2-4+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, engineering, or a related field (hospitality or club experience preferred)Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferredWorking knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance systemsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially under pressureAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detailStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively with staff, vendors, and leadershipComfortable performing physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in various conditionsValid driver's license and reliable transportationFlexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
