Please apply today!\r\nJob Description\r\nIn your new role you will\r\n\r\nDirect and guide the activities with Infineon component suppliers and the Infineon Power Module design engineers to specify, develop, and qualify components used in the Power Modules.\r\nPlan and implement the module inductor, capacitor, and other component needs roadmap based on the Power Module engineers' present and future needs.\r\nCreate evaluation and life test plans and fixtures for component evaluation and quality assessment.\r\nAutomate and perform bench testing using the procedures to evaluate and life test components used in the Power Modules.\r\nCreate source control documents for components used in the Power Modules.\r\nWork with purchasing, production and design engineering on component cost down efforts\r\nProvide technical leadership and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, including component suppliers and Power Module design engineers.\r\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and quality engineers, to ensure successful product development and launch.\r\nFind a path forward when technical and/or business issues arise on module components.\r\nEngage in continuous learning about magnetics assemblies, magnetic materials, capacitors, and semiconductors\r\nWork with external vendors to drive technology and roadmaps to align with power module design needs\r\nDevelop a component verification strategy including the development of necessary test strategies and equipment to enable validation of new components\r\n\r\nYour Profile\r\nYou are best equipped for this task if you have\r\n\r\nBachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering (BSEE or MSEE)from an accredited institution.\r\nAt least 5 years of experience in component engineering, with a focus on power module development and production\r\nExperience in specifying and evaluating components, including inductors/magnetics, capacitors, resistors, and semiconductors.\r\nStrong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, electromagnetism, and materials science.\r\nProficiency in simulation tools, such as SPICE, COMSOL, or ANSYS.\r\nExperience with material characterization techniques, including dielectric spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, and X-ray diffraction.\r\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.\r\nStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions.\r\nProficiency in programming languages, such as Python, MATLAB, or C++\r\n\r\nWeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.\r\nAs a global leader in semiconductor solutions in power systems and IoT, Infineon enables game-changing solutions for green and efficient energy, clean and safe mobility, as well as smart and secure IoT.
