Experienced with organized and dynamic environments in support of providing day-to-day repairs for all facilities designated under O&M operations. The general maintenance to be executed consist of areas pertaining to equipment, building structures, and landscaping.\nWork Schedule:\nTypical support duties are M-F from 06:30 to 3:30. To include occasional evenings and weekends in support of the program’s mission.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nPromote and maintain a safe work environment, ensuring workplace safety remains the highest priority at all times.\nComply with all site-specific policies, procedures, and operational standards.\nStrong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.\nSelf-motivated, proactive, and committed to maintaining high-performance standards and achieving organizational goals.\nThrives in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with the flexibility to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing demands, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify challenges, develop effective solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nAdhere to all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Assurance (QA) policies, procedures, requirements, and performance objectives.\nFollow schedules and tasks to detail directed by the O&M Supervisor. To include other duties assigned.\nWorks effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.\nSkilled in identifying issues, gathering and evaluating relevant information, establishing facts, and drawing sound conclusions.\nProvide verbal feedback and/or a detailed report to the O&M supervisor daily.\nWork Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:\nMaintains fitness for duty and demonstrates the ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis while performing assigned duties.\nCapable of standing for extended periods of 8–10 hours per shift.\nAble to perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, twisting, and carrying materials as required.\nExecute generated workorders from site’s computer maintenance management system (CMMS).\nSelecting appropriate materials necessary for the task at hand.\nPrepare and submit detailed purchase requests for taskings assigned from the O&M supervisor when required.\nAssist with maintaining shop inventory for day to day used items for assigned work orders.\nPerform jobs/tasks in outside unconditioned environment working in the extreme hot and humid weather. Additionally, at times, extreme cold.\nResponsible for painting structures and equipment, execute basic carpentry, execute basic plumbing, basic sheetrock repairs and metal siding patch repairs.\nPerform landscaping maintenance such as mowing, edging, blowing, weed eating, pruning, brush cutting, forestry mulching, yard debris collection, road grading, pothole repairs, grading, clean out storm water drains, pressure washing, gutter maintenance, and at times pesticide/ herbicide application.\nRepairing/ Replacing, door locks, door closures, carpet tiles, floor tiles, ceiling tiles, door trim, doors, cove base, general wood/metal furniture, broken windowpanes.\nResponsible for maintaining and cleaning government issued items and/or property.\nPerform other duties and activities as directed such as but not limited: moving furniture, furniture assemblies, furniture set ups for outside events, and working with other trades to complete general task(s) in support of the mission.\nMinimum Requirements (Clearance Level, Education, Certifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):\nAbility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nMinimum of five (5) years of experience in general maintenance or a related field.\nHeavy equipment experience with backhoes, front end loaders, skid steers, telehandlers, and forklifts.\nExperience with telescopic boom lifts and scissor lifts.\nAbility to provide and maintain all required certifications and credentials.\nProficient in basic computer applications, including online training platforms, timekeeping systems, and email communication.\nValid driver's license issued by the applicant's state of residence required.\nAble to obtain and maintain a LCLM (limited commercial landscape maintenance) license for herbicide and pesticide application.\nAble to obtain and maintain forklift certification.\nAble to work in areas of height with MEWPs.\nAble to obtain and maintain certification for fall protection.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCDL Class A\nOther Responsibilities:\nSafety - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
