The ideal candidates will be passionate about the mission of the organization, which is to reduce the stigma of mental illness and support those affected by mental health conditions. Board members will be responsible for strategic planning, financial oversight, fundraising, and executive oversight. This includes establishing and monitoring the organization's goals, ensuring the appropriate use of assets, and raising awareness in the community.The successful candidates will be expected to fulfill core legal and fiduciary duties, including the duty of care, duty of loyalty, and duty of obedience. This means taking care of the nonprofit's resources, making decisions in the best interest of the organization, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. General responsibilities for board members also include identifying strategic donors, supporting the Executive Director, and being an ambassador for the organization.
