The position reports to the Director, Route Optimization. Working collaboratively with site Operation Directors, the Sales Team and other key Executives, this individual will lead the market reroute project in a collaborating, engaging, & thoughtful way ensuring a higher level of consistent service & on time delivery while reducing waste and cost for the market. They will also standardize routing operating procedures, bench marking, sharing best practices, and serving as the thought leader and route planning subject matter expert.Job DescriptionThis role follows a flexible hybrid schedule and can be performed from any Breakthru Beverage office location.Job ResponsibilitiesAnalysis and Problem SolvingExecute reroutes to supporting new business growth, acquisitions, seasonal solutions, and routine routing updates Support capital and resource planning activities to determine appropriate number/type of vehicles and drivers neededDeep dive into data and systems to analyze a variety of business challenges to provide root cause and preventative solutionsCustomer excellence – establishing benchmarks and working with sites to close performance gapsPerform regular reviews of routing performancePartnershipGain alignment with states on areas of focus related to delivery routing and service policy managementLead service level improvement initiatives in the market working with sales, operations, finance, and leadershipSupport development and training of site routers and managersSubject matter expert (SME) for routing and systems: Omnitracs Routing, Strategic Planner, Dispatch, and InsightProcess ImprovementEstablish goals and monitor progress: Delivery frequency guidelines, On-time Delivery, Productivity Targets, database maintenanceContinuously update and communicate routing standard operating proceduresLead development and implementation of routing training materialsOther duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be requiredMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in supply chain management and/or equivalent degree and work experienceMinimum of 5 years’ experience in in route planningAnalytical experience required with knowledge of routing systems dataMathematical/statistical abilitiesUnderstanding of route planning technology tools and business processStrong attention to detailAbility to communicate the results of analysis clearly and concisely in both verbal and in written form.Data gathering skills, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including the ability to link business process improvements to KPIs.Experience in change management specifically in implementing and influencing change.Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation softwareAbility to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlinesUtilize sound judgement and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in change management, collaborative teams sessionsPhysical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephoneThis job description is only a summary of the typical functions of this position, not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible job responsibilities, tasks and duties.
