Love Your Mondays again!POSITION SUMMARY:The Fiber Design Coordinator responsibilities include working closely with our City-Build Fiber Design Manager/Supervisors to prepare projects to be sent to contractors for initial designs, tracked through quality control, making sure documents are sent to the field in a timely manner, and tracked through when the contractors are paid.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Administer and coordinate Local Convergence Points (LCP) through the design process from beginning to end.Request Project Codes from Project Controls for new City-Build Markets/RingsCoordinate and request Work Orders for the Design Contractors both revisions and optimization designs.Generate a list of Local Convergence Points (LCP) being assigned and their associated pass counts and put together the work order request that is submitted to thePost City-Build LCP & Ring designs/redesigns that have passed Quality Control and been approved for construction.Coordinate completed/posted Local Convergence Points (LCP) revision updates with the Virtual Board and moves completed Local Convergence Points (LCP) revisions to the completed tab.Update the list of Local Convergence Points (LCP) scheduled for Optimization with the Optimization tab on the Virtual Board and keep the design status updated through completion of those designs.Update and maintains the Design Status Dashboard with new Markets/LCPs/Ring designs when Design has received a new market for design.Track and update Bill of Material (BOM) information on the Design Status Dashboard:Residential passesBusiness passesVacant passesTotal passesCompletion dates for designs.Coordinate information needed for designer metrics reports on the Design Status Dashboard-Date passed QC.Designer assigned.Round passed.Maintain and coordinate distribution lists for design completion communication with the field.All other duties as assigned.JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Highschool or GED Required, bachelors or related work experience preferred1+ Year of telecom experience preferredAdept experience with Microsoft Office Suite word, excel, PowerPointDemonstrated Data entry experience requiredAbility to think critically and provide solutions along with identifying problems as they arise.Metronet is an equal opportunity employer.
