The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and automating our customer’s in support of this customer’s mission, ensuring the smooth operation of all systems within the virtual environment (Nutanix, VMs,) to optimize performance, scalability and automation.\n\nProvides development engineering and programming support to projects and infrastructure support activities. Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions. Designs software or customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. May analyze and design within an application area, working individually or coordinating development as part of a team.\n\nManage and maintain the customer’s application servers, networks and development & test infrastructure\nDeploy, configure, and troubleshoot application hosting services\nMonitor system performance and audits to ensure data integrity and protection\nCollaborate with internal teams to identify technical requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs\nProvide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving issues in a timely manner\nImplement best practices for automation, backup, disaster recovery, and system redundancy\nStay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cloud computing and IT systems administration\nQualifications:\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nWe are looking for experienced Software Engineers to join our technology-based program supporting a key Government customer. A Bachelor's or Master's degrees in computer science are preferred with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience and education with the following skillsets:\n\nInfrastructure as a code language (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)\nExperience with Linux System Administration and containerization tools (e.g. Docker)\nAbility to use source Control tools (e.g. Git, Subversion,)\nExperience in Cloud based services (AWS, Azure)\nUnderstand and implement network architecture (e.g. VLAN, subnets)\nCandidates should have experience in security review of applications and infrastructure.\nAbility to analyze and solve networking issues\nResearches new technologies in object oriented programming.\nWorks well in a engineering team environment with other teammates who have varied skills levels.\nAbility to mentor others\n\nDesired Qualifications:\n\nThe ideal candidate would also be familiar with working in development environments that utilize Scrum, Lean, Agile and DevOps. as well as ServiceNow for reporting and workflow.\n\nExperience with infrastructure automation technologies like Cisco NSO\nExperience with SD-WAN technology and applications (e.g. Versa)\nExperience with build automation technologies like Maven, Jenkins, etc.\nExperience with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc.\nExperience with scripting languages like Perl, Shell, Bash etc.\nWhat you can expect from us:\nThe expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $120,000 - $140,000. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
