Job details Job title Converting Relief Team Leader (Wisconsin Rapids, WI) Job description Purpose of Opportunity This position is available at Converting to further promote team member involvement and participation in our production environment while gaining exposure to safety and quality initiatives. This position provides relief and performs the duties of our Team Leaders for the production area. The selected individuals will work with various levels of the organization to improve overall Converting performance The positions will report to the Operations Coordinator. This is a relief Team Leader position for one (1) Hourly Union team member lasting approximately 3 years. The selected team members will retain department seniority and have full return rights to the same job position in their line of progression. A number of elements of USW Side Agreement 000-03 apply to this position. Profile Minimum QualificationsMust be an hourly USW team member from ConvertingMust be able to communicate effectively with other team members, areas, etc. Selection CriteriaSelection of applicants will be through a joint Union / Management interview process. DutiesMonitor Hi Rise and AGV systems.Provides relief to Salaried Team Leaders.Execute alternate plans of action when equipment failures or maintenance occurs.Scheduling duties including but not limited to Trade Slips, OT Tracker, Call-In Sick, Replacements, correct/change schedule. Post announcements for extra hours available and assign individuals signed up.Assist with Accident Investigation and Injury Data Analysis (SITS - Safety Information Tracking System).Participate in Area safety inspections and audits.Coordinate efforts to implement safety, quality and production improvements.Support team members participation in safety programs, trainings and meetings.Be familiar with all safety policies and procedures and coach team members on safe actions.Be a safety resource for Team Members, Union Leadership and Management on safety issues.Communicate with team members on safety issues, procedures and policy.Other duties as assigned related to the core duties of this position.Coach team members when needed (you will not be involved in any disciplinary actions).These duties are not all inclusive - you will be asked to perform other duties as needed throughout the day.Rate of pay would be 1.10X the top hourly rate in Converting.When not needed in this position, you will be scheduled in your home department.Term to be 3 years.
