In total, the School has ~650 undergraduate students and ~20-25 graduate students.\r\nThe School of Biological Sciences at Louisiana Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Facilities Coordinator/Instructor position. This faculty position combines undergraduate teaching with responsibilities for maintaining the instructional facilities and equipment that support the School's teaching mission. The appointment is approximately 50% instruction and 50% service, with instructional responsibilities typically including five undergraduate biology courses annually, including summer instruction.\r\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to: Instruction Teach undergraduate biology lecture and laboratory courses as assigned, appropriate to the Instructor's area of expertise.\r\nParticipate in curriculum development and assessment activities.\r\nService – Facilities, Equipment, and Operational Support Maintain and support the instructional laboratories, teaching facilities, and shared equipment used in the School's instructional programs.\r\nMaintain inventories of laboratory equipment, instructional supplies, and other School assets.\r\nPerform other duties assigned by the Director of the School of Biological Sciences.\r\nMinimum Qualifications Master's degree in Biology or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.\r\nDemonstrated ability to teach undergraduate biology lecture and laboratory courses.\r\nExperience supporting laboratory operations and maintaining scientific equipment.\r\nAbility to maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and support instructional facilities.\r\nStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.\r\nValid driver's license or ability to obtain one consistent with University requirements.\r\nPreferred Qualifications College-level teaching experience in biology.\r\nExperience maintaining laboratory equipment and coordinating laboratory operations.\r\nExperience managing laboratory inventories, supplies, and equipment procurement.\r\nDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, including students, faculty, staff, and the public.\r\nAbout Louisiana Tech University Louisiana Tech University is a vibrant and inclusive community dedicated to excellence in education, research, and service.
