This hands-on role combines Java development, technical leadership, and architecture, working closely with Trading, Quantitative, Risk, and Technology teams to deliver scalable market data and trading solutions.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDesign and develop enterprise-grade, server-side Java applications supporting market data and trading platforms.\nProvide technical leadership and guidance across architecture, solution design, development, and implementation.\nMentor developers through code reviews, design discussions, and engineering best practices.\nPartner with traders, quantitative analysts, product teams, and other technology stakeholders.\nDevelop system architecture, technical designs, and implementation concepts.\nProvide development estimates and support delivery planning.\nDrive software engineering standards across the SDLC, including testing, release readiness, production stability, and operational resilience.\nMaintain high code quality through automated testing, code coverage, static/dynamic analysis, security scans, and CI/CD controls.\nParticipate across the full software delivery lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through deployment and production support.\nSupport and continuously improve highly available, business-critical trading applications.\n\nQualifications\n\nRequired Skills\n\n10–15 years of software development experience in Core Java skills, including multi-threading, concurrency, object-oriented design patterns, and asynchronous/event-driven programming\nDesigned, built, and maintained high-performance, real-time data pipelines and pricing engines for fixed-income electronic trading\nStrong experience with Spring Boot and enterprise application development.\nExperience with Apache Flink for batch and stream processing.\nExperience building and integrating APIs, including REST, GraphQL, and RPC.\nStrong experience with messaging and streaming platforms, including Apache Kafka, JMS/ActiveMQ, and event-driven architectures.\nExperience building, deploying, and maintaining containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, or similar technologies.\nStrong experience with AWS cloud-native services and architectures, including ECS, EKS, S3, EC2, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.\nStrong database and data architecture experience, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, and/or Sybase.\nExperience with Apache Camel, enterprise authentication frameworks, application integration, and enterprise application design.\nExperience with enterprise monitoring, application state management, production observability, and production support.\nExperience integrating applications with Bloomberg and/or Murex.\nExperience with Ansible and related deployment/automation technologies.\nProven experience leading technical delivery, mentoring developers, and communicating effectively with business and technology stakeholders.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Quantitative Finance, or a related field.\n\nCompany’s Benefits\n\nAt Talan, we invest in our employees' well-being and empower them with benefits, including:\n\nSalary between USD $155,000 -
