The Superintendent will report to the General Superintendent.\n\nPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES\n\nProvides input for the preparation and produces the project construction schedule. Advises supervisor of changes in the project construction that significantly impacts project schedule.\nPrepares and maintains proper reports in accordance with company policies and procedures.\nAssures all layouts are correct.\nCollaborates with Corporate Safety Director in enforcement and administration of safety policies and procedures. Superintendent holds primary responsibility for safety on his/her project site.\nInforms supervisor of any labor disputes and/or personnel problems that might affect the company.\nSupervises and maintains adequate and competent subcontractor labor crews. Schedules and coordinates activities of all subcontractors/vendors.\nSchedules the routing and delivery of all materials. Assures all precautions are taken to prevent theft on job sites.\nSchedules and co-chairs weekly construction meeting of subcontractors/vendors.\nReviews and approves all overtime work requests and obtains appropriate security clearances.\nMaintains a daily recap of the day’s events. Reviews with project manager on a daily basis.\nSupervises subcontracted forces constantly to assure compliance with quality control program and minimal punch list.\nSupervises subcontracted forces to develop pre-punched check off lists and assure timely completion before architect and owner develop their punch lists. Obtains client/architect signature on final punch list completion certificate.\nAssists project manager or estimating manager by reviewing bid documents and estimates.\nReviews subcontractor/vendor invoices as requested by project manager and recommends approval/reduction/rejection.\nDocuments all field changes and as-built conditions to project manager.\nEmbody Sabey core values\nPerforms other duties and functions as assigned.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\n\nAbility to travel to and from property locations\nAbility to interface with technology and operate a computer\nAbility to interact with all levels of Sabey employees and business partners – must be able to build and maintain strong professional relationships\nAbility to work independently with minimal instruction\nAbility to remain stationary for extended periods of time\nAdhere to Company information security policies and standards by safeguarding confidential data, protecting access credentials, completing all required trainings on time, and taking immediate action to report potential security threats or breaches.\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\n\n10+ years of field experience in a position with supervisory responsibility in commercial construction with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.\nHigh School Diploma or GED\n\nMINIMUM COMPETENCIES\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Suite – Word, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.\nFull working knowledge/experience in project scheduling and software platforms.\nAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-track project delivery environment without compromising quality of work.\nAbility to supervise and manage labor crews – this includes maintaining the work schedule, being knowledgeable of people management best practices, and identify potential risks on site\nAdvanced knowledge of the English language – excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of Sabey employees and business partners\nWorking knowledge of building construction and basic building maintenance\nStrong Customer service skills – must be able to interact professionally with tenants and subcontractors\nStrong people management skills via providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.\nMust be detail oriented with the ability to maintain a strong focus on attention to detail\nMust be committed to continuous learning and growing within the organization\nAptitude and willingness to learn and utilize AI tools and technology\n\nThe anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $95,335 - $143,003.\n\nLearn more about Sabey and their organization here: http://6126385.hs-sites.com/sabey-jobs\n\nSabey Corporation and its subsidiaries, including Sabey Data Centers and Sabey Construction, are equal opportunity employers and drug-free workplaces.
