Vice President & Commercial Loan Officer
Responsibilities: As Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer, you will:• Develop customer/prospect lists within an assigned market area;• Develop, maintain and expand commercial account relationships through business development and direct customer/prospect calling efforts;• Increase our commercial loan portfolio and core deposit base in line with budgeted Bank loan volume goals and objectives;• Seek and accept commercial loan inquiries of all types, interview loan applicants, obtain requisite financial information, recommend appropriate loan structures and determine suitability of individual loan requests for inclusion in the Bank’s commercial loan portfolio;• Ensure timely approval of loan requests, including presentation of loan requests to Director and Board approval committees as necessary;• Coordinate, facilitate and attend loan closings with external Bank contractors and professionals;• Manage a loan portfolio with timely review of maturing loans, loan extensions and annual review of commercial loan customers, ensuring to the extent possible the quality, accuracy and collection of information pertaining to assigned loans, and;• Maintain emphasis on business development, sales and deposit growth.Additionally, it is anticipated and expected that you will:• Ensure adherence to Bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements;• Demonstrate effective, prudent decision making and problem solving skills;• Maintain thorough knowledge of the Bank’s loan and deposit products, with recommendations/additions to the Bank’s suite of products to conform to, and remain competitive with, current marketplace and “best practices” within the industry;• Prepare and present for approval loan application memoranda on an as-needed basis; and,• Perform other duties germane to your role and essential to the ongoing success of the Bank. This includes, but is not limited to, active participation in relevant community activities, participation in local area business events, such as Chamber of Commerce events, and other community-based events on an as-needed basis.
