Also responsible for ensuring employees follow all prescribed safety procedures, ensuring adherence to appropriate quality standards, completing proper documentation, providing leadership on the production floor, and meeting production output standards. This position reports to the Production Manager.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY\nGeneral Responsibilities:\nWork in cooperation with team leads to manage daily production activities ensuring work orders flow efficiently through CNC machining and final assembly\nWork with team leads to assign employees to workstations and coordinate labor to meet production schedules\nTrain new employees on job responsibilities and work instructions\nSupervise, evaluate, and support the hourly production team\nMaintain accurate time, attendance, and production records\nLead through servant leadership while holding self and the team to high performance standards\nEnsure effective employee relations, evaluate employee performance, and help make employment decisions\nEnsure all preventative maintenance is performed on production equipment\nIdentify work procedures, issue written and oral instructions, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow\nPlan and coordinate work, monitor and evaluate performance and productivity of employees, and ensure their ability to safely operate equipment\nCoordinate machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers as required\nCoordinate workflow between workstations and areas to minimize downtime and bottlenecks\nEnsure written work order instructions are followed\nManage department performance measures including visual controls and provide regular progress reports\nComply with all company policies and procedures including completion of performance corrective action & documentation\nCommunicate professionally with employees to help solve any work-related issues\nMaintain a clean and organized work area\nCommunicate production changes, priorities, and expectations to the team\nPromote and enforce all safety rules and company policies\nEnsure production lines operate safely, smoothly, and produce quality parts\nCoach standardized work and verify adherence to quality and safety standards\nBuild strong working relationships with team members and management\nAnalyze and resolve production, quality, and workflow issues\nAdminister corrective action in coordination with Human Resources when required\nParticipate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals\nPerform other duties as assigned\nNOTE: The proceeding examples are representative of the assignments and responsibilities performed by this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive.\nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES\n(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required.)\nEducation/Licensure/Credentials:\nRequired: High School Diploma or Equivalent\nPreferred: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or related field\nExperience:\nRequired: 4 years’ experience leading final assembly operations, including work order execution and\ncoordination with upstream manufacturing processes\nPreferred: 6+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment including supervision of CNC Machining\nSpecial Knowledge/Skills:\nRequired:\nProven ability to build positive working relationships and lead teams through collaboration and respect\nLeadership ability and knowledge of best practice supervisory skills\nDemonstrated ability to anticipate problems and take corrective action before they impact safety, quality, or delivery\nGood time management skills, be highly motivated to solve problems, be detail oriented, and able to establish priorities\nStrong organizational skills, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, customer service focus, technical capacity, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment\nPreferred:\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)\nExperience with safety programs and quality systems\nAbility to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines with internal and external resources\nStrong analytical capabilities, with a basic understanding of statistical analysis techniques\nPhysical Demands Required:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
