If you want to join an industry-leading company that focuses on your professional growth and development, we’d love to hear from you!\n\nWhat You'll Do:\n\nSet-up and operate machines in accordance with process sheets and any other required paperwork (i.e. drawings, specifications, etc.)\nCreate simple, edit and/or retrieve CNC programs from system files and execute.\nUse manufacturing paperwork (blueprints, set-up sheets, sketches, etc.) to manufacture products that meets quality requirements.\nInspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspection to QC Lab.\nIf non-conforming, adjust program and offsets and resubmit until approved.\nCommunicate mechanical and technical issues with lead person or supervisor.\nSupport Lead person and follow the daily machining schedule.\nPerform non-CNC tasks when necessary (set-up/ change tools, repair fixture, train operators to properly load and unload parts to meet run-rates)\nAble to do work/ tool offset, compensations, and conditional switches; calculating requirements including basic math, geometry and trigonometry proving\npart programs.\n\nEnsure proper CNC operation – milling, drilling, facing, grooving, turning, threading; Measure and detect malfunctions adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.\nMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulation.\nMaintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.\nAccomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add\nvalue to job accomplishments.\n\nWhy You'll Love Working for Us:\n\nCompetitive wages and benefits\nLow-cost comprehensive insurance plans\nPaid vacations and holidays\nWhat We Need from You:\n\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required.\n1+ year of pertinent work experienceUnderstand CNC programming, G & M codes, different cutting tools.\nBasic knowledge of reference planes, location of surfaces, machining parameters, blueprint reading and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)\nA genuine belief in continues improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze, challenge and change processes if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture.\nOrganizational and time management skills.\nSelf-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize workday/projects independently.\nExcellent interpersonal and communications skills.\nAbility to use various inspection gages.\nAs a Fair Chance employer, Grede is committed to considering individuals who are rebuilding after past challenges.
