This position will provide an opportunity to develop the innovative technology that supports some of our nation’s most important defense initiatives. The ideal candidate will support our team in providing program support to the Department of Defense (DoD). The employee will also enjoy a flexible work environment where contributions are recognized and rewarded.\nKitty Hawk Technologies is currently seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer with five (5) or more years of experience Cameo System Modeler in support of Engineering Services to work in the Dahlgren, Virginia area.\nResponsibilities:\nWorks as part of a team to support an RDTE project in developing system architectures using the SysML language and Cameo Systems Modeler toolset\nPerform MBSE efforts in Cameo (requirements development, documentation, architecture documentation, traceability, SysML and Parametric representations, etc.) for an anti-ship cruise missile test target and associated Modeling and Simulation (M&S) efforts\nDocument system architecture and requirements using Cameo System Modeler\nWork with Program Manager and Missile Engineers to develop, derive, and track requirements\nWork with developers and missile engineers to develop appropriate verification and validation of requirements\nWork with program manager and technical leads to track requirements, change requests, configuration control changes, and risks and mitigation plans\nAdheres to existing project SysML style guidance\nParticipates in recurring Technical Exchange Meetings to align model development with project milestones and requirements\nPrepares technical presentations, briefings, and papers to address model development status.\nWorks independently with minimal supervision/oversight in a team environment\nMust be committed to working on-site at the Kitty Hawk office or government customer facility. Flexible work arrangement may be available as dictated by customer support requirements\nRequired Education & Qualifications:\nFive (5) years of experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE), specifically Cameo System Modeler\nBachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or related technical discipline\nAbility to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD clearance – U.S. Citizenship is required\nExperience with industry-standard architecture and modeling languages (UML, SysML) and frameworks (DoDAF, UAF)\nKnowledge in an industry standard architecture tool (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architect)\nEffective oral and written communication skills.
