Maintenance Job Category: Laborer Requisition Number: MAINT006226Full-Time Community Adolescent Treatment Program Springfield, MA 01105,USA Job Details Description: Center for Human Development, (CHD), iscurrently looking for a Maintenance worker at our Community AdolescentTreatment Program (CATP), a Department of Youth Services on WorthingtonStreet, Springfield, MA. The Maintenance worker will provide a host ofbuilding maintenance skills in support of CHD\'s mission to support andimprove the lives of people in need. YOUR ROLE AS A MAINTENANCE WORKERWILL INCLUDE: Maintenance worker perform a variety of cleaning andmaintenance tasks, such as sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, shampoo rugs,washing floors, cleaning restrooms, painting, stripping and waxingfloors, and cleaning common areas. Replaces lights and performs minorrepairs to furniture, buildings, and equipment; shovels snow; may berequired to maintain grounds surrounding buildings. May perform minorcarpentry, plumbing, and electrical duties as directed; operates heatingand cooling systems including thermostat, and safety controls; moves andsets up furniture and equipment; collects and disposes trash. Mayperform other similar or related duties as required or as situationdictates. Requirements: Must pass background screening including CORIand driving record check; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and moveitems weighing up to 100 lbs. Two years\' experience working inmaintenance preferred. High School or Vocational Diploma preferred Workswell in a team environment Self-starter who can follow directionInteracts effectively and in a respectful manner even in difficultsituations organized, efficient and flexible Demonstrates patience,caring and compassion Performs well under stress Must have driver\'slicense and reliable transportation SUCCESS FACTORS: Enthusiastic andpassionate about the work they do.
