(H&M’s) Chantilly office specializes in low voltage cabling to support enterprise, data centers, government, and medical facilities. We design and install multiple technologies and work throughout the Baltimore & Washington DC Metro areas. H&M is seeking an energetic, career-minded individual to join our team working at a various customer sites in the Baltimore, Montgomery County and DC areas.\n\nWhile working under the direction of the Foreman or Team Lead, the Technician provides leadership and training to installers and junior technicians. Must rely upon experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish daily and weekly milestones.\nResponsibilities:\nPrimarily responsible for maintaining job site productivity, ensuring high quality workmanship, and ensuring a safe work environment.\nInstallation of structured cabling systems including all aspects of the installation process.\nPerform system testing and troubleshooting as required.\nMentors’ installers to complete their tasks and responsibilities.\nMay work and direct a crew of 2-4 installers or junior crew members.\nEmbrace H&M’s safety culture by following safe work practices and policies.\nAble to read and interpret drawings, floor plans, specifications and cut sheets.\nMaintain compliance with customers’ security requirements ensuring junior team members comply.\nSolid team player\n-exhibits a positive attitude, high attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.\nAbility to listen carefully and follow instructions and make recommendations.\nProactively manage job site organization and housekeeping.\nAssist with other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\n2-4 years of structured cabling experience required.\nFiber optic cabling experience preferred/not required.\nAbility to work varying shifts per customer requirements.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook applications a plus.\nBICSI Certification a plus.\nIndustry Certifications a plus.
