The Software Test Engineer is highly organized, applies established testing principles and methodologies, uses automation and defect-management tools, validates application and data behavior, and incorporates security and performance considerations for complex systems.\n\nDevelop, organize, maintain, and execute software test plans, test cases, test data, and results against defined requirements and acceptance criteria.\nPerform unit-support, integration, system, and regression testing of software applications across applicable front-end, back-end, database, and interface components.\nCreate and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and basic coding or scripting skills; analyze software behavior and troubleshoot test failures.\nUse Jira to document, prioritize, track, and communicate defects and work items, and use SQL and Linux to validate data, inspect environments, and support troubleshooting.\nParticipate throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC), collaborating with developers, engineers, analysts, and Agile or Scrum teams to improve testability and quality.\nApply security best practices and performance-testing techniques appropriate for complex applications, documenting risks, results, and recommendations.\n\nRequired Skills/Level of Experience:\n\nHighly organized with strong attention to detail\nUnderstanding of the SDLC and Agile or Scrum delivery\nSoftware application testing experience\nUnit, integration, system, and regression testing methodologies\nSelenium test automation and test-script development\nJira defect and work-item management\nSQL for data validation and database testing\nLinux commands, logs, environments, and troubleshooting\nBasic coding or scripting knowledge\nSecurity best practices and performance testing for complex applications\n\nAt least 3 years of relevant experience with an Associate degree.
