Proficiency will be attained on the job including the acquisition of a working knowledge of our products and the application of them. This is a technical position involving engineering knowledge and application of that knowledge to interpret requirements and develop design solutions. The engineer is expected to grow quickly in knowledge and ability to the point of assuming independent work in a period of 3-6 months and demonstrate continual growth thereafter.\nKey Responsibilities:\nWork closely with the Engineering Manager and other senior engineering personnel to complete design work assigned in a timely manner\nAnalyze sales orders and customer specifications to design equipment consistent with customer requirements\nAnalyze designs to verify equipment adherence to ASME, UL, NEMA, or other applicable specifications\nCreate detailed engineering drawings and documentation to support the manufacturing of industrial equipment\nAccurately enter and manage design information within proprietary software systems\nThis is not intended to be a comprehensive list of job duties. Other job related responsibilities will be assigned as needed.\nRequirements\nTechnical background including education and/or experience equivalent to 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering\nStrong attention to detail\nThorough understanding of mathematics and mechanical design principles, as well as a basic understanding general principles in electrical systems and sheet metal design and manufacturing\nAbility to create and maintain detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings.
