If you enjoy solving complex machining challenges, working with advanced CAM systems, and seeing your programs come to life on the shop floor, this role is for you.What You'll Do:As a CNC Programmer, you'll be responsible for creating accurate, efficient programs that ensure parts are produced safely, on time, and to McElroy's exact quality standards. Your work will directly support production success across the organization.Key responsibilities include:Writing CNC programs using Mazatrol, ESPRIT CAM, and manual programming methodsDeveloping programs that meet drawing tolerances, quality requirements, and production timelinesSupporting precision part production by optimizing machining efficiency and consistencyApplying operational knowledge of assigned NC machines to ensure reliable performanceCollaborating with machinists, engineers, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processesUsing precision measuring and inspection equipment to verify part accuracyInterpreting blueprints, diagrams, drawings, and sketches with a high level of accuracySchedule:* 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday | 4:30 PM - 3 AM 2nd shift employees receive 11.5% shift premium on all hours worked.What We're Looking For:Education & ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED requiredTwo years of field-specific Technical or Vocational education preferred1-5 years of experience programming NC machines for precision part productionRelevant technical or vocational education may be considered in place of direct experienceSkills & KnowledgeStrong operational knowledge of assigned NC machinesProficiency with precision measuring and inspection toolsEffective verbal and written communication skillsExcellent ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including blueprints and drawingsDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and qualityPhysical Requirements & Work Environment:Ability to work at a computer workstation for approximately 80% of the workdayRemaining time may involve bending, squatting, and light liftingMobility required between multiple buildings across a large campusWhy McElroy?Work with advanced CNC technology and CAM systemsBe part of a skilled, collaborative manufacturing teamPlay a critical role in producing high-quality, precision componentsEnjoy a stable first-shift schedule with long weekends built inIf you're driven by precision, enjoy technical problem-solving, and want your work to make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.Safety-Sensitive DesignationJobs which involve one or more tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others are considered safety-sensitive.
