As a manufacturer of gear pumps, pelletizing, and filtration systems, and pulverizers we offer top-grade equipment for your demanding requirements – not only for polymer applications but also for the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.\n\nPosition Title:\n\nAssembler, Mechanical\n\nBusiness Unit:\n\nMaag Gala, Inc.\n\nReports To:\n\nPlanning and Manufacturing Manager\n\nPosition Location:\n\nEage Rock VA\n\nPosition Type: Full-time\n\nMain Position Objectives\n\nThe Mechanical Assembly Technician provides the highest quality work ethic and character for assembling the Maag family of equipment to include: Dryers of all sizes and TWS systems with an emphasis on hitting customer delivery dates.\n\nPosition description – Tasks, responsibilities, competencies\n\nAssemble dryer rotors and housings using hand tools and power tools by referencing 2D assembly drawings.\nBalance rotors on all size dryers using over head cranes and balancing equipment.\nBuild and mount dryer component parts such as agglomerate catchers and pellet diverter valves using hand tools and air tools while referencing 2D assembly drawings .\nPerform leak tests on dryer and tank housings using soap water and air\nEngrave equipment name plates using engraver (or) lazer marker (or) dot peen marker.\nFills out check sheets while assembling the equipment to ensure the quality of the product meets expectation.\nPut together piping assemblies using hand tools and power tools.\nOther tasks as assigned by manager.\n\nThe incumbent considers all interests of quality, accident prevention and occupational safety as well as environmental safety in a preventive manner within his scope of responsibility and supports the avoidance of damages to people, facilities, assets, material and environment actively.\n\nThe incumbent is obliged to perform tasks requested by management that relate to his position scope or arise from company needs. This job description reflects current status, right to make changes reserved.\n\nWork Environment\n\n Work in this position is mainly at the Eagle Rock assembly floor but the incumbent could be asked to assembly at the Roanoke facility when needed. While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
