We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Mid-day Floater Teacher to join our team! In this vital role, you will provide flexible classroom support across various age groups, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for every child. You will assist with lesson planning, classroom management, and child supervision during the midday hours, helping to create a positive and nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and development. Faith-Based Certified Child Care Center
We are a fast-paced, faith-based Certified Child Care Center seeking loving, dependable, and enthusiastic Floater/Breaker Teachers to join our team. We proudly serve families with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years (pre-kindergarten).
Floater/Breaker Teachers play a vital role in supporting our classrooms by covering breaks, assisting teachers, and ensuring continuity of care throughout the day.
Applicants must meet DELC requirements and be qualified as Aide 2 or Teacher, including:
Minimum of 240 documented hours of experience working with children ages 6 weeks–5 years
18 years of age or older
Knowledge and understanding of child development
Comfortable participating in weekly Bible lessons
Confident, professional, and open communication skills
Ability to lift and carry 5–40 lbs
Available to work Monday–Friday between 11a-5:15 PM (schedule determined by center needs)
Minimum General Responsibilities
Supporting the opening of the center and/or classrooms
Step into classrooms to cover staff breaks, lunches, and professional connection/prep times
Cover scheduled staff time off and unexpected call-outs as needed
Maintain required staff-to-child ratios and ensure the safety of all children at all times
Support the care and needs of the children, including but not limited to diapering/toileting, and feeding
Actively engage in play, learning activities, and daily routines with children
Support classroom teachers with smooth transitions and consistent care
Ensure all required information and documentation is accurately uploaded to the parent communication app
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 29 per week
