Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.\n\nBase pay range\n$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr\n\nAdditional compensation types\nAnnual Bonus\n\nDirect message the job poster from FlexTek\n\nChemical Process Engineer\nChemical Process Engineer\n\nJob Title: Chemical Process Engineer\n\nFLSA Status: Exempt\n\nDesign, develop, and optimize chemical processes to improve efficiency, safety, and product quality.\n\nConduct process simulations, heat and material balance calculations, and scale-up activities from lab/pilot to production.\n\nPrepare and review P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and other technical documentation.\n\nMonitor and analyze process performance, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, yield improvement, and waste minimization.\n\nTroubleshoot production issues and provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams.\n\nCollaborate with R&D, operations, and project teams to implement new technologies and process improvements.\n\nDevelop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with industry best practices.\n\nProvide training and mentorship to plant personnel on process engineering fundamentals and safe work practices.\n\nSupport capital projects by defining process requirements, evaluating vendor proposals, and overseeing commissioning/start-up activities.\n\nEnsure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other applicable standards.\n\nTrack and report process KPIs, recommending strategies for continuous improvement.\n\nRequirements\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field\n\nExperience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in process or production engineering\n\nTravel: Approximately 10%\n\nOther: Must complete pre-employment background, medical, and drug screening; valid driver’s license required\n\nThe role involves work within industrial or plant settings where adherence to safety standards and procedures is critical.
