See below one of many career opportunities to join the RPO team!\r\nPosition Overview\r\nThe Optical Assembler plays a critical role in the production of high-performance optical components and assemblies used in military systems, advanced imaging and sensing equipment. Many of the products built in this role support mission-critical equipment including ruggedized optics, low-light imaging devices, and components integrated into defense, surveillance and field-deployed platforms.\r\nThis position requires exceptional attention to detail, steady hands, and a disciplined approach to following technical work instructions. You will assemble, align, inspect and verify optical components that must perform reliably in demanding environments, from extreme temperatures to high-vibration field conditions.\r\nThis role is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, thrives in a clean, controlled manufacturing environment, and understands the responsibility of building components that professionals depend on in real-world operations.\r\nKey Responsibilities:\r\nAssemble precision optical components and mechanical subassemblies using specialized tools and fixtures to meet daily production targets.\r\nPerforma fine alignment of optical elements using microscopes, interferometers and laser alignment systems.\r\nApply adhesives, epoxies and bonding agents with controlled volume and placement, following cure schedules and handling requirements.\r\nInstall mechanical fasteners to exact specifications to maintain optical alignment and structural integrity.\r\nInspect incoming and in-process optical components for defects such as scratches, digs, chips, coating issues and contamination.\r\nVerify optical performance using test equipment such as interferometers, MTF benches, spectrophotometers and optical comparators.\r\nDocument inspection results and maintain traceability through travelers, routers, or ERP system.\r\nIdentify nonconformances and collaborate with quality and manufacturing engineering to resolve issues.\r\nFollow detailed work instructions, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) with zero deviation.\r\nMaintain cleanroom environment standards.\r\nRecord production data accurately, including lot numbers, serial numbers, material usage and process steps.\r\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on tooling, processes, and documentation.\r\nRequired Skills & Qualifications:\r\nHigh School Diploma/GED Required.\r\n13 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including hands-on assembly, micro-assembly, or similar precision work.
