This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Satellite Systems Software Engineering organization.\r\nOur team creates the software tools and services for the world's highest performing satellite/ground systems for USG and Commercial customers. We work with space customers in the development of the next generation ground systems.\r\nThe ideal candidate will develop and maintain the infrastructure that aids software engineers in the execution of full life-cycle software development. The candidate will leverage their knowledge of DevSecOps to implement robust continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines; integrated with automated testing, and vulnerability & quality scanning capabilities. The candidate will install and configure modern technologies into the toolchain and maintain them throughout the life of the contract. The candidate always requires a continuous improvement mindset and will encourage and build automated processes wherever possible. The candidate should possess excellent communications skills and work well in a team environment to support the needs of the Integrated Product Team.\r\nPrimary Responsibilities include:\r\nInstallation and configuration of an integrated software engineering environment based upon the DevSecOps framework.\r\nAssist with development, documentation and maintenance of standardized, efficient processes, tools, methodologies, and performance metrics to streamline the software engineering lifecycle and enable continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of safety critical software\r\nSupport automation, development, monitoring, improvement and troubleshooting across software development, tooling, testing, integration, deployment, configuration processes, and security controls\r\nPerforms technical support for the program and assists in satisfaction of Application Security, IT, and customer security directives and requirements ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats\r\nSupport implementation of an environment that enables high levels of quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across the organization\r\nSupport collaboration with cross functional teams to build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure software engineering systems\r\nSupport implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulations in the software engineering DevSecOps environment\r\nManages software dependencies including evaluation, acquisition & licensing, integration, and maintenance for software used by developers to execute the program Assists software teams and IT with server upgrades/patches, database support, and setup of virtual environments. Supports operating system, infrastructure, and platform hardening\r\nBasic Qualifications:\r\nBachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or 4 years' directly related work experience or 8 years' related relevant work experience\r\n5 or more years of experience in DevSecOps, Site Reliability, or other IT related projects\r\nProficient with a variety of software development languages, tools and techniques\r\nExperience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) concepts and tools (Docker, Jenkins, JIRA, Gitlab, etc)\r\nProven experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) Strong expertise in cloud native technologies, Container Based Development (Kubernetes), AWS\r\nPreferred Qualifications:\r\nExperience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (Jenkins, Nexus, Gitlab Runners, etc.)\r\nExperience with transitioning On-Premise Virtual/Physical infrastructure to AWS\r\nExperience in the Agile software development environment\r\nMaintains a Security+ or equivalent certification\r\nTypical Education/Experience:\r\nEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master +3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.\r\nRelocation:\r\n**This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
