This position could be aligned with our Coral Gables, FL, Orlando, FL or other regional offices and would support hybrid or remote working arrangements. This position will report to the Electrical Engineering Team Leader and is primarily responsible for performing electrical engineering technical work on various complex projects, mentoring staff, applying proficiency in designing, analyzing, and reviewing systems to ensure safety, sustainability, and compliance with industry standards.\nWe are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located. #LI -SN1\nWhat You Will Do:\nPerform electrical engineering technical work for complex projects\nDevelop and modify models, plans, details, and drawings of electrical engineering systems and components according to established standards and modeling techniques.\nPerform electrical design for various systems including medium-voltage distribution, microgrids, photovoltaic, battery systems, building power systems, lighting design, and low voltage systems.\nAssist with technical review and provide high quality deliverables.\nPerform electrical calculations including SKM analysis, arc flash, and photometric calculations (AGI or Elumtools preferred)\nInterpret, define, organize, execute and coordinate engineering assignments.\nProvide technical direction and support for multiple projects of considerable scope and complexity.\nApply or develop advanced theories, concepts, principles and processes in execution of quality deliverables that meet project/deliverable specifications.\nProvide technical expertise and support in the project definition and planning phases.\nCommunicate new scientific methods, developments and practices through appropriate firm channels.\nDevelop and document standard practices and coaches and mentors other team members in skill development areas.\nAct as technical expertise and representative of the firm at various functions, as needed.\nConduct training sessions for internal staff.\nParticipate in firm-wide quality initiatives.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nPersonal & Professional Growth\nAt Woolpert we place a high value on personal and professional growth, offering various opportunities for development within the engineering team:\nTeam members have access to continuous learning programs, including workshops, seminars, certifications, and participation in professional membership organizations.
