Sr. Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a fast-growing organization in Medley, Florida on a contract basis with the potential for a long-term opportunity. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on accounting specialist who can manage core accounting functions, contribute meaningful financial insight, and help strengthen operations as the business continues to expand. The role offers strong visibility within the finance team and the chance to grow into greater leadership responsibility over time.Responsibilities:• Lead the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring timely completion of accounting activities.• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and balance sheet reconciliations to support accurate financial records.• Prepare financial analyses and recurring reports that help leadership evaluate performance and make informed business decisions.• Manage inventory-related accounting and support transactions connected to logistics and distribution activity.• Perform intercompany accounting tasks, reconcile related balances, and help maintain consistency across entities.• Partner with external auditors by organizing documentation, responding to requests, and assisting throughout the audit process.• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, support delegation of accounting tasks, and help build scalable processes for a growing business.• Contribute to the company’s accounting system transition from SAP Business One to NetSuite, including implementation support and related process coordination.• Use advanced Excel functions to review large data sets, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.• Proven experience in month-end close, full-cycle accounting, and general ledger activities.• Strong background in inventory accounting, including reconciliation and reporting accuracy.• Working knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, and bank or account reconciliations.• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and large-volume data analysis.• Experience supporting audits and handling intercompany accounting transactions.• Background in logistics or distribution environments is preferred.• Experience with SAP Business One is required, and exposure to NetSuite is an advantage.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
