A US person is a U.S. Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident (8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(2)), or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324(a)(3) (i.e., foreign nationals such as refugees & asylees)\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nDevelops, modifies, and maintains CNC programs using CAM software to support production requirements.\nInterprets engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, specifications, and customer technical data packages.\nOptimizes machining strategies to improve cycle time, tool life, quality, and overall manufacturing efficiency.\nCollaborates with Manufacturing Engineers and Machinists to troubleshoot programming or machining issues.\nSupports new product introductions (NPI) through program development, process validation, and first article support.\nSelects appropriate tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds based on material and part complexity.\nPerforms program simulations and verification to ensure safe and accurate execution.\nMaintains documentation including setup sheets, tool lists, and program revision control.\nAssists with root cause analysis and corrective actions related to machining or quality issues.\nEnsures compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and industry/regulatory requirements (e.g., aerospace, NADCAP where applicable).\nProvides technical guidance to machinists during setup and production runs.\nSupports continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, process efficiency, and waste elimination.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience; Master's degree preferred\n\nMinimum of 3-5 years of hands-on CNC programming experience required in a production machining environment.\nDemonstrated experience programming CNC milling and/or turning equipment, including multi-axis machines, using G-code and/or CAM software\nStrong proficiency with CNC programming software and tools\nSolid understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, fixturing, cutting parameters, and material behavior\nAbility to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and revision-controlled documentation\nExperience supporting CNC program prove-outs, first article inspections, and ongoing production troubleshooting\nWorking knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies as applied to CNC machining processes\nFamiliarity with quality management systems and regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, NADCAP exposure preferred)\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions\nEffective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Engineering, Production, and Quality teams\nProficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems (ERP/MES exposure preferred)\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit for extended periods while working at a computer for CNC programming, process development, and documentation\nAbility to stand and walk throughout the manufacturing floor for extended periods during machine prove-outs, troubleshooting, and production support\nAbility to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach to access machines, fixtures, and tooling\nAbility to occasionally lift, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 pounds (e.g., tooling, fixtures, or components), with or without reasonable accommodation\nVisual acuity required to review CNC programs, engineering drawings, part features, and inspection results\nManual dexterity required to operate standard office equipment and interact with machine controls and tooling\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, cutting fluids, metal chips, noise, and temperature variations\nRequired to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and other protective gear as required\nAbility to comply with all safety policies and procedures in a regulated manufacturing environment\nSupervisory Responsibilities: None.\n\nTravel Required: None\n\nNote: This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) of this position.
