Graco is part of your daily life.\n\nAs a Machine Design Engineer, you will take on more responsibility in the design process, working independently on moderate to complex projects. You will apply engineering principles to design mechanical systems, components, and machines, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and reliability standards.\n\nWhat You Will Do at Graco\n\nEngineering Support\n\nIndependently design and model mechanical systems and components using Creo CAD software.\n\nPerform advanced engineering calculations and simulations (e.g., FEA, CFD).\n\nSelect appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes for designs.\n\nDevelop designs with a strong focus on manufacturability, ensuring they are optimized for efficient production, cost-effectiveness, and ease of assembly.\n\nDesign for automation – EOAT, fixturing, hydraulic/pneumatic/servo presses, servo motors, robotics\n\nFluid and pneumatic test bench design.\n\nConduct prototype testing, evaluate results, and make design improvements as necessary.\n\nPrepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and assembly instructions.\n\nDemonstrated basic understanding of all pertinent OSHA safety regulations, as well as standards including, but not limited to, ANSI, ISO, RIA, IEC, NFPA, and NEC.\n\nContinuous Improvement and Project Management\n\nLead design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and project management.\n\nReact to changing priorities for purposes of scheduling, delivery, project timeline, budget, and scope.\n\nConstantly look for continuous improvement opportunities and drive their implementation.\n\nWhat You Will Bring to Graco\n\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.\n\n3+ years of experience in machine design or a related engineering field.\n\nBasic understanding of mechanical engineering principles\n\nProficiency in advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo)\n\nExperience with engineering analysis tools (FEA, CFD)\n\nStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail\n\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines\n\nAccelerators\n\nGlobal industrial manufacturing experience and knowledge.\n\nMBA or Master’s degree preferred\n\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
