The quality engineer will be involved in the complete life cycle of quality performance metrics, including:\nmetrics development\nmetrics compilation\nmetrics assimilation\nDefine and deliver responses to customer requests and inquiries related to product quality\nFailure Analysis (including FMEA as required)\nRoot Cause Corrective Action Plans\nFirst Article Inspection Planning / Issues\nSupplier Scorecard Inputs (via Customer on-line portals)\nCoordinate activities with Inspection to review all non-conformance documents to insure:\nProper definition of non-conformances\nAppropriate assignment of corrective / preventive actions\nCompletion of corrective / preventive actions\nFacilitate meetings and team activities focused on corrective actions and process improvements.\nAssist Quality Manager in reviewing emerging requirements from customers to determine appropriate changes to existing Quality Management System (QMS).\nAssist Quality Manager in defining and executing internal audits to ensure compliance to QMS.\nAssist Quality Manager in activities related to external customer or external audit agency visits to Shields Manufacturing.\nAssist Quality Manager in reviewing, writing, publishing procedures and work instructions related to the QMS.\nEducation/Qualifications:\nBS in an Engineering or Scientific discipline, or related field, is preferred.
