The Merchandiser’s main job function is to assist with sales and create brand awareness. A sales merchandiser should have knowledge of our products as they relate to the deli.\nThe duties of a Dietz & Watson Merchandiser are listed below but not limited to:\nSafely operate a deli slicer\nSet up of deli cases and appropriately rotate deli product\nUnderstand and execute schematics/planograms\nMaintain marketing displays using Dietz & Watson Point of Sale (POS)\nNeeds to be a self-starter, work in a team environment and or with little or no supervision\nManage time effectively and productively\nComplete all reports as necessary including store surveys\nConsistently provide coverage to all stores within assigned territory based on store ranking\nMake regular store visits documenting all concerns/problems (i.e. shortages, equipment problems, ordering issues, etc.) and addressing these concerns in a timely manner\nBuild and maintain customer relationships by displaying high-level customer service techniques to deli managers, employees, and store customers\nPossess the knowledge and ability to both create and market Dietz & Watson programs\nTraining of all new store deli hires on the merits of Dietz & Watson and refresh training when needed\nCommunicate any information deemed necessary to Merchandiser Manager (i.e. grand openings, store closing, etc.)\nUtilizing the monthly sales reports to achieve 100% distribution.\nExplore opportunities for sales growth w/Merchandiser Manager\nMaintain full displays\nMaintain a clean and sanitary work environment\nPerform special projects outside of assigned territory\nMinimum Requirements\nOther Job Requirements\nFlexibility and ability to travel (including flying) as needed and may be up to 30% of the time.\nMust be able to read and write English\nMust have computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)\nMust possess communication, organization, creativity, and customization skills\nMust be able to exercise independent decision-making skills on a regular basis\nMust be available to work weekends on occasion\nHigh school diploma or equivalence\n1-2 years of customer service/sales experience preferred.
