Director, Business Development – Client Management

Job Description: Secure and maintain relationships with qualified targets and decision makers within biotech and pharma, uncovering potential sales opportunities and developing effective sales strategiesWork with targeted business development accounts to secure future business - explain, offerings and align CTI offerings to meet customer's needsWork in collaboration with CTI's proposal team to deliver budgets and proposals, including providing key direction on proposal text and budget scope.Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key members of CTI's clinical operational management and proposal/contracting teamsDevelop and implement specific disease strategies to drive awareness, lead generation and opportunity identificationAttend therapeutically focused conferences as a representative of CTI and meet with prospective clients also in attendanceLead and participate in bid defense meetings, including leading the preparations, strategies, and follow-up effortsLead and participate in capabilities discussions, including leading the presentation, strategies, and follow-up effortsCommunicate with existing accounts and internal CTI representatives to ensure needs of accounts are being metPresent sales opportunities to management and work with internal departments/team members to close complex salesContinuously monitor and update status of leads to ensure pipeline is maintainedCommunicate all account activity to sales leaders/CTI executives and maintain updates in CTI's CRM systemManage sales departmental metricsRequirements: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or physical/life scienceSales experience (including account profiling, relationship development, needs assessment and account closing)5+ years in pharmaceutical, clinical or related experienceBenefits: We support career progression – 25% of our global staff is promoted annually and we have a structured mentoring program to provide the support you need to move forwardWe value education and training – We provide tuition reimbursement, partner with universities and colleges to create programs in our field, and have a dedicated training departmentWe value our people - We have never had a layoff in our 20-year history, support a work-life balance with flexible schedules, and have provided cash bonuses every year for the past decadeOur culture is unparalleled – Click here to learn more about "The CTI Way"We think globally and act locally – We have a global philanthropic program supporting our team's efforts to improve their local communities (Click here to learn more about our "CTI Cares" program)
