The QA/QC Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining safety, reliability, and efficiency in all projects through meticulous inspections, thorough documentation, and effective communication.\n\n*This position is near the Adelanto, CA area.*\n\nWhat You'll Do:\n\nEssential Job Skills/Duties:\n\nInspection and Testing\nConduct detailed inspections of construction components, including foundations, steel structures, electrical equipment, control wiring, and grounding systems.\nPerform quality control testing and inspections in accordance with contract requirements and company best practices.\nInspect above and below-ground conduit installations for compliance with plans and specifications.\nVerify that all materials received for the project conform to approved submittals, are handled, and stored properly, and are acceptable for use in the project.\nDocumentation and Reporting\nPrepare and maintain QA/QC inspection reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.\nCreate, update, and maintain the project submittal log and other project-specific quality control reports.\nDocument inspection results and quality concerns and communicate these to project stakeholders promptly.\nConduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings to establish and maintain standards of care for each definable feature of work.\nMaintain accurate and detailed records of inspection findings and test results.\nPrepare comprehensive reports summarizing inspection activities, discrepancies identified, and corrective actions recommended.\nEnsure all documentation complies with regulatory and company standards.\nReview drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications by direct review and by leveraging the knowledge and experience of others in the project team when necessary.\nCompliance and Standards\nEnsure that all construction and maintenance activities comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEEE, NESC, ACI) and local, state, and federal regulations.\nAdhere to company quality control procedures and safety protocols.\nParticipate in safety audits and provide recommendations to enhance site safety.\nCoordination and Communication\nCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.\nCommunicate inspection results and quality concerns to project stakeholders effectively.\nLead and participate in QA/QC meetings to review and discuss quality standards and issues.\nFoster open communication and collaboration among team members to facilitate the timely resolution of quality concerns.\nAssist in the development and delivery of training programs to enhance the understanding of quality standards and procedures among project teams.\nEngage with clients to understand their quality expectations and address any concerns or requirements they may have.\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities for improving quality control processes and procedures.\nStay updated on the latest industry standards, technological advancements, and best practices in construction and maintenance.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and mentor team members in QA/QC best practices.\nProactively seek feedback from project teams and clients to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.\nParticipate in professional development opportunities to enhance QA/QC knowledge and skills.\nSafety and Environmental Compliance\nEnsure that all activities are performed following environmental regulations and safety standards.\nParticipate in safety audits and provide recommendations to enhance site safety.\nWhat You'll Bring:\n\nQualifications:\n\nEducation: Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Civil Engineering, ISO9001 or a related field preferred.\nExperience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the electrical utility industry, preferably with a focus on substation and renewable projects.\nCertifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), OSHA, & CPR/First Aid\nKnowledge: Strong understanding of electrical and civil engineering principles, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.\nSkills: Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and interpersonal abilities.\nTechnical Proficiency: Proficient in using inspection tools and software, and familiar with quality management systems.\nPlatforms: Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, and applicable safety software.
