Together we do what matters.\r\nWhat You'll Do (Core Responsibilities Across Senior Manager and Manager roles)\r\nWork closely with delivery teams and client stakeholders to provide technical leadership, shape deals and propositions, drive architectural decisions, create plans and roadmaps, and produce design artifacts.\r\nTranslate complex technical concepts into clear, value based outcomes for senior business stakeholders, technology leaders, and internal sales teams.\r\nEngage early with clients and/or sales teams to support origination, deal qualification, requirements capture, and solutioning—recommending best practices and building trusted advisor relationships.\r\nCollaborate with the wider Data & AI leadership to contribute thought leadership, points of view, and enhancements to our offerings, accelerators, and IP.\r\nStay current on advancements in Data & AI and incorporate relevant innovations into our solutions.\r\nSupport integration of Data & AI capabilities across other Global Solution Areas (Modern Workplace, Apps & Infrastructure, Business Applications).\r\nContribute to internal Assets & Engineering initiatives to strengthen Avanade's differentiated market position.\r\nProvide coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues and contribute to the broader Avanade technical community.\r\nSenior Manager Responsibilities (In Addition to Core Responsibilities)\r\nSenior Managers are expected to operate with broader scope, deeper influence, and higher accountability. At this level, you will:\r\nLead presales, solution planning, and solution design efforts for Data Platform Modernization pursuits.\r\nDrive partner relationships at the offering level, including Databricks and Accenture.\r\nShape high level solution designs, estimates, and contractual details for client proposals in collaboration with other SMEs.\r\nAddress client delivery issues when required, ensuring quality and consistency of offerings in the region.\r\nPlay a senior leadership role in shaping go to market strategies, offerings, and accelerators.\r\nDrive adoption of Delta Lake, Lakehouse, and MLflow for advanced analytics and machine learning use cases.\r\nEstablish best practices for data governance, lineage, and metadata management within Databricks.\r\nTranslate business needs into robust data products supporting real time decision making and predictive modeling.\r\nLead performance tuning, cost optimization, and security hardening of Databricks on Azure.\r\nManager Responsibilities (In Addition to Core Responsibilities)\r\nManagers contribute significantly to delivery and solutioning while operating with a more focused scope. At this level, you will:\r\nSupport high level design, estimates, and proposal development in collaboration with senior SMEs.\r\nContribute to solution planning and architectural decisions while working under the guidance of senior leaders.\r\nProvide coaching and mentoring within your immediate team and contribute to the technical community.\r\nSupport early-stage client conversations, requirements capture, and solutioning activities.\r\nParticipate in shaping thought leadership and contributing to offering development, accelerators, and GTM assets.\r\nQualifications\r\nManagement Consulting and or Systems Integration experience strongly preferred.\r\nStrong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across teams.\r\nExperience architecting and delivering end to end data solutions using Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, ML/AI workloads).\r\nHands on experience with data pipeline design, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and real time analytics.\r\nFamiliarity with governance tools (Unity Catalog), open data formats (Delta Lake, Parquet), and data mesh principles.\r\nStrong stakeholder management and customer facing skills.\r\nExperience building and maintaining strategic partnerships with technology vendors (Databricks, Microsoft).\r\nAbility to develop reusable frameworks, reference architectures, and accelerators.\r\nComfortable leading technical teams and mentoring junior staff.\r\nAbout You (For Senior Manager And Manager Roles)\r\nYou are passionate about technology and advising clients.\r\nYou likely hold an advanced degree in a quantitative field (computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning) or equivalent experience.\r\nYou have a track record of success in consultative/complex technical sales, architecture, design, implementation, or support of distributed applications.\r\nYou have experience working with large enterprise accounts and architecting cloud-based data solutions.\r\nYou can orchestrate, lead, and influence remote teams to ensure successful project delivery.\r\nLocation\r\nThis role is flexible within the U.S., with preference for candidates located within commuting distance of an Avanade office to support collaboration and client engagement.\r\nTravel\r\nOccasional travel required for client engagements, team collaboration, or business meetings.\r\nCompensation at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
