Volunteer Remote Foster Coordinator

We want to hear from you!We are currently looking for a Volunteer Foster Coordinator to join our team at Chester's Corner Animal Rescue.About Us:Chester's Corner Rescue Foundation is a dedicated nonprofit organization specializing in animal rescue and rehabilitation. Our mission is to provide abandoned animals with medical care, emotional support, and a path toward loving, permanent homes. Every effort we make is driven by compassion and a commitment to the welfare of animals in need.How You Will Contribute:Purpose:Manages the foster program pipeline, ensuring animals are placed with qualified fosters safely and efficiently. Serves as the primary point of contact for prospective and active foster volunteers.Responsibilities:Receive and manage emails sent to foster@chesterscorner.orgScreen and vet potential foster volunteers, assessing experience and home suitabilityPost and advertise animals in need of fostering across approved channelsEnforce foster program rules and policiesServe as the point of contact for foster volunteers regarding questions, issues, or emergenciesMaintain records of active fosters and animal placementsSubmit all foster approvals to leadership for final review and sign-offImmediate Ownership:Manages the day-to-day foster communications and volunteer support independentlyRequired Qualifications:1–2 years of experience managing fosters or volunteers in a rescue or animal care settingStrong professional communication skills (email and phone)Ability to enforce rules firmly but respectfullyHighly self-motivated and able to work independentlyComfortable managing confidential informationMust reside in San Jose or the immediate surrounding areaMust have a working computer with reliable internetCommitment Details:Approximately 2–4 hours per weekFlexible schedulingFully remote roleHow to Apply:Please send an email to foster@chesterscorner.org with your resume and a short introduction of yourself and why you are interested in volunteering with Chester's Corner Animal Rescue.
