Controls filing and preservation of quality records.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nMaintain a clean and safe work area\nNotarize documents as required by customers, sales staff or state authorities\nCoordinate customer requests with metallurgists and respond to customers – Daily\nGenerate, review, update, and send test certificates – Daily\nEmail, upload (to SharePoint), and track – ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s, and CE stamped test certificates - Daily\nWork with metallurgists on special projects – Weekly\nEnter test data to Caterpillar – Weekly\nProvide invoices to metallurgists for approval and submit to finance for payment – Weekly\nWeekend duties – Covering for As-Rolled, QL5, and QL6 – Monthly\nIssue boot and eyeglass vouchers to team members – Monthly\nBack-up for As-Rolled/Coil material release – Monthly or as needed\nIssues restencil/diestamp letters to customers\nResponds to recertification requests from customers and sales\nProvide coverage for front desk reception as needed\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nCompetencies and Experience\nRequired\nComputer literate (proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel)\nAbility to perform data entry with a high degree of accuracy\nAbility to solve problems\nAbility to work well with other team members\nAttention to detail (accuracy)\nAbility to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision\nMaintain good attendance record\nGood oral and written communication skills, including the ability to cover front desk reception\nPreferred\nNotary Public\n\nEducation\nRequired\nHigh School Diploma/equivalent\nTwo (2) years of education beyond high school or equivalent business experience\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES/DIRECT REPORTS\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nThe employee will be required to sit, stand, and/or walk as follows:\nSitting 8 hours at a time\nStanding 0.5 hour at a time\nWalking 0.5 hour at a time\n\nThe position requires the following talking, vision and hearing capabilities:\nTalking person to person, on the phone, and in a group setting\nHearing in person, on the phone, and in group a setting\nVision at near and midrange\nThe position requires the following pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying capabilities:\nPush, pull, lift, and/or carry items weighing 20 pounds or less\n\nThe employee will occasionally be required to:\nStooping, kneeling, and crouching\nBalancing\nTwisting at waist level\nReaching above shoulder\nReaching at waist/desk level\nReaching below waist level\nHandling (gross motor; gripping; holding; grasping) with both hands together or separately\nThe employee will constantly be required to:\nFingering (fine motor) with both hands together or separately\n\nThe employee will be required to work in the following conditions: (While wearing safety equipment and/or clothing for protection from hazards)\nInside\nAmid noise\nAmid mechanical, electrical, and industrial magnet hazards\nPOSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS\nPosition is full time, non-exempt, and is eligible for overtime\nPosition works (8) hours a day, with rotating weekend and holiday coverage required\nPosition offers opportunities for overtime\nPosition operates at a moderate to fast pace\nOTHER DUTIES\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee for this job.
