X-Ray Tech Location: Chapel Hill, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,152 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 6/22/2026 About the Position Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: Diagnostic Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified License: Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually Certifications: ARRT Certified in Radiography, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification Must-Have: Accredited Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program Description: Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of all aspects of General Diagnostic Radiology. Familiar with and adheres to departmental protocols and policies. Obtains RT(R) credentials and maintains "Active Status". Uses technical knowledge and ability to assist in troubleshooting work unit problems with respect to equipment and protocols. Enthusiastically shares knowledge with colleagues and students in the work unit. Ensures that patient demographic information and examination requests are correct. Critiques, orients, and saves all pertinent images. Transmits QA-ed images to the image management system, ensuring all images are properly documented. Documents completion and cancellation of all procedures, reporting comments when appropriate. Maintains image management equipment and reports any equipment problems to appropriate resources. Utilizes the information systems effectively to access data and document the status of procedures. Modifies orders for appropriateness and completes exams in the system. Verifies that all information has arrived properly into the image management system. Verifies patient identity and obtains relevant patient history before administering ionizing radiation. Assesses patients’ physical condition and develops an action plan for performing examinations. Determines if additional medical personnel or equipment is needed and takes appropriate action. Assists patients that require extra attention and reacts to emergency situations. Ensures patient safety throughout the examination process. Maintains a clean and safe work environment and documents incidents, advising on improvement opportunities. Performs quality radiographic images consistently and analyzes requests to draw appropriate conclusions for examinations and action plans.
