Administrative Assistant

The Bilingual Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative and operational support to a nonprofit organization while serving as a key point of contact for internal staff, community members, donors, and external partners. This role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to communicate fluently in both English and a second language to support diverse populations. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree, strong interpersonal skills, and experience working in a mission-driven environment. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support to leadership and department teams, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and coordinating events.Serve as a bilingual liaison for clients, community members, donors, and stakeholders, translating verbal and written communications as needed.Answer phones, emails, and inquiries professionally in both languages and direct requests appropriately.Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, spreadsheets, meeting agendas, and other documents.Maintain confidential files, records, and databases while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with nonprofit policies.Coordinate office operations, supplies, mail distribution, and vendor communication.Assist with community outreach, program coordination, and event logistics.Support grant, donor, and fundraising activities by maintaining records, preparing materials, and tracking documentation.Schedule and coordinate board meetings, committee meetings, and staff meetings, including preparation of meeting materials and minutes.Assist with onboarding, training coordination, and general human resources administrative tasks.Maintain professionalism and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse populations.Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned. Qualifications Required:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, or related field.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (or other language relevant to the organization's population served), including verbal and written communication.2+ years of administrative support experience, preferably within a nonprofit, healthcare, education, or community-based organization.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and virtual meeting platforms.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Preferred:Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.Experience supporting executive leadership or multiple departments.Familiarity with donor databases, CRM systems, or nonprofit software platforms.Event coordination or community outreach experience. Compensation: $60,000-65,000 Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications. #SONIBOS
