We partner with families, employers, and community organizations to help people live, work, and thrive.\n________________________________________\nRole Overview\nVersAbility Resources is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide rehabilitative services and daily support to adults with disabilities across a variety of settings, including community living, day programs, and vocational environments.\nIn this role, you will support individuals in building independence, developing life skills, and achieving personal goals while ensuring their health, safety, and dignity are always maintained.\n________________________________________\nSchedule\nThis is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Flexibility may be required based on program and individual support needs.\n________________________________________\nWhat You’ll Do\nProvide direct support to individuals with disabilities, including skill building, communication support, and vocational or rehabilitative services\nAssist individuals with personal care needs such as eating, hygiene, and daily living activities while encouraging independence\nSupport individuals in community integration and HCBS rights compliance\nAdminister medications upon successful completion of certification\nMaintain accurate daily documentation, including notes, attendance records, and required reports (incident, injury, etc.)\nFollow individualized service and behavior plans using positive behavior supports and interventions\nRespond appropriately in emergency situations, including providing First Aid, CPR, and crisis intervention when necessary\nAssist with transportation and support individuals in entering and exiting vehicles as needed\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for individuals and staff\nSupport program planning efforts by assisting with documentation and tracking of individual progress\nEnsure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies\nPromote respect, dignity, and privacy for all individuals served\nMaintain all required certifications and training\n________________________________________\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nAdditional education in Psychology, Human Services, or related field (preferred)\nExperience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)\nAbility to pass background checks and meet employment requirements\nStrong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks as needed\nValid driver’s license and acceptable driving record to transport individuals as required\n________________________________________\nWork Environment and Physical Requirements\nWork is performed in a variety of settings, including residential homes, community environments, and vocational or industrial settings.
